As I was really unfit initially the classes were certainly tough but both the instructors and the more experienced class members are very encouraging and its amazing how quickly you start to notice a difference in your fitness and your shape.

"I found going to the gym really boring and had trouble with motivation which meant my money was going down the drain, so I decided to try Scottish Military Fitness instead as I figured the encouragement from the instructors would be of benefit. I've not been disappointed! The classes are really good fun, there is good banter with everyone there and the instructors are engaging and knowledgeable. I started attending Scottish Military Fitness in Jan 2012 via a Groupon deal. However once the deal expired I did not hesitate to join up as each class is a tough but highly enjoyable experience. I compare the classes to having your own personal trainer for an hour session but at a fraction of the cost. And with the added bonus of having others around to encourage you and compete with.
I now try to attend 2-4 classes each week and the benefit in my strength, body shape and overall fitness has improved dramatically. Come rain or shine the instructors are there with a smile motivating you and pushing you to do more. Plus the friendships built and camaraderie between both participants and instructors is another great benefit.
I would and do highly recommend Scottish Military Fitness to
all my friends and colleagues. In my opinion it beats the gym
in every possible way!
In June I also attended a One Day Bootcamp held in Kelvingrove Park. This was an extremely challenging day with a variety of different circuits and exercises from boxing to log runs. It was also very enjoyable though with good food, a lot of laughs and great advice on nutrition and how to get the best out of our bodies.

I find the classes really give you a good workout. I enjoy the jogging mixed in with a variety of other exercises, and the fact that you cater for varying levels of fitness! The sessions are friendly and good fun. Getting out in the fresh air is an added bonus (except when it's pouring!).?
